Privacy Policy for Hermes App

Effective date: October 1, 2026

Purpose

Hermes App is a private, self-hosted personal-assistant application used only by its owner. It is not offered as a public service.

Google data accessed

Only after the owner grants permission, Hermes App may access Gmail messages needed for the owner’s requested workflows, send Gmail messages on the owner’s behalf, view and manage Google Calendar events, and read selected Google Drive files.

How data is used

Google data is used only to perform the owner’s requested personal-assistant workflows, such as email alerts, calendar reminders, and review of files explicitly attached to relevant calendar events.

Storage and sharing

OAuth credentials and workflow state are kept on the owner’s self-hosted server with restricted file permissions. Google data is not sold, rented, or used for advertising. It is not shared with unrelated third parties. Where the owner has requested a notification workflow, limited relevant information may be delivered to the owner through the configured messaging service.

Retention and deletion

The owner may revoke Google access at any time through the Google Account security settings or by removing the corresponding Hermes App integration. Workflow state is retained only as needed to prevent duplicate notifications and operate the requested workflow.

Contact

For privacy questions, use the support channel associated with the Google OAuth consent screen.
